UBS O’Connor’s Doc Horn has been appointed head of total return equities at Pictet Asset Management, leaving behind his eleven-year career of long/short equity portfolio and investment team management.
Mr Horn will now manage and oversee Pictet's seven global long/short equity teams, based in Geneva, Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong and London, reporting to Philippe de Weck, Pictet’s CIO.
Pictet’s seven-strong total return fund range has $7.4bn (£5.7bn) in assets under management and includes strategies covering global, European, Chinese and Asian equity, alongside multi-asset and global credit funds.
Mr De Weck commented: “In a low return environment, his appointment reflects our commitment to total return strategies.”
